State police said that at about 6:48 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, troopers responded to I-91 southbound near exit 35 in Windsor.
Upon their arrival, troopers found a juvenile female pedestrian suffering from life-threatening injuries after being struck by a tractor-trailer.
The pedestrian was taken to Hartford Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, may have seen the pedestrian on I-91 prior to the crash, or may have seen the movement of the tractor-trailer prior to the crash are encouraged to call Troop H at 860-534-1000.
